Ask
To redesign a traditional zoo visit, encourage repeated visits and educate the future generation through play. The project was completed in collaboration between Pico, Dreamlabs and Media Monks. For this project, Pico was involved in the creative development of the outposts and the base camp, as well as the execution and implementation of creative ideas.		   Solution
Gamify the zoo experience where visitors can use a smart binoculars paired with a companion app to complete quests around the zoo, and learn what it takes to be a Ranger Buddy at the Base Camp.From crafting the visitor’s journey through the game app, to the physical experience at the zoo, the team crafted a dynamic narrative-led experience from the start to end of the zoo experience.		   Outcome
Curated adventures in a form of a Quest that surprise and delight, helping children uncover secrets of nature and wildlife in unexpected ways and to expand their knowledge of the natural world.

the Outposts

(physical stations around the Singapore Zoo and River Wonders where visitors have to go to complete missions, these outposts comprises of a touch-screen game and physical interactive games)

01 Outposts

As Ranger Buddies embark on their missions with the Guardians and Animal Buddies, they come across outposts that had been built by previous Ranger Buddies. 

The Ranger Buddies find various notes, tips and reflections left by their seniors, and specimens that their seniors have collected on their own adventures.

02 Base Camp

All heroes need to assemble at their mission control to unite their forces and boost their energy.
Similarly, the Ranger Buddies Base Camp is one of the central operating bases of the Ranger Buddies.​

This is where Ranger Buddies converge to find out what it takes to be a Ranger Buddy, and hone their explorer skills as they come back again and again.
