In 2013, I was tasked to design and conceptualise the wall designs for a Primary School. The school wanted designs that could be used as teaching materials for the students. Therefore, I proposed to create infographics for the students in accordance to the school's art curriculum. As the teachers had little knowledge of art, I had to be responsible for creating the content on the infographics.

The content creation was most challenging as I had to refer to various academic resources such as educational sites and books on art history so that I could ensure the most accurate representation of the content. As the teachers did not have in-depth knowledge on the subject, they could not assist in fact-checking. As the history of art is content-heavy, I also had trouble condensing and selecting art pieces that were relevant.
In the end, I had to make the call and move on to other aspects of the project. I am confident that the content I had put out would be sufficient to generate interest in the subject amongst the students.
This project was my first individual task in the design agency, so I also had to learn to work independently under little supervision.

I chose fonts and graphics that represented the art period. For example - I designed Andy Warhol's biography in the form of a comic similar to reflect the pop art movement.

I was more familiar with the history of design and therefore decided to use it to my advantage when selecting the fonts for the various art periods. As the designs will be printed and installed on walls, I chose wall graphics that were similar to the buildings representative of the time period.

I proposed the idea of placing the elements of art and principles of design in hopes that this could be something that the students can raise questions about and an area where the teachers can research upon and further enhance their art curriculum.
I am not the most proud of some of the design choices I had made, but I am satisfied with the amount of effort that I had put into this project, given the little resource I had to work with during that time.
